Sweet pepper Menderes (Tatlı Kıl)
Traditional variety hailing from Türkiye. Registered name is Menderes, though among folks it is widely known as Tatlı Kıl) (means sweet long pepper).
It is interesting that this pepper is similar to a hot pepper with the same name, same appearance and same taste and which, as believed, derives from cayenne, but has no heat.
Shrub is very reaches up to 70 cm and produces long thin walled and crunchy peppers. The peppers reach up to 17-20 cm, they are slightly crumpled near the top. This variety colors from green to red. Usually they are gathered. In Türkiye they are consumed fresh or pickled.
Great to grow both in greenhouses and outdoors. Incredibly productive. 55-60 days from transplant.
