Hot pepper Menderes (also known as Acı Kıl, capsicum annuum) is a traditional variety hailing from Türkiye. Registered name is Menderes, though among folks it is widely known as Aci Kil (means hot long pepper). Shrub is very reaches up to 70 cm and produces long thin walled and crunchy peppers. The peppers reach up to 17-20 cm, they are slightly crumpled near the top. The heat is near Cayenne, just a bit milder.
This variety colors from green to red. Usually gathered while green. In Türkiye they are consumed fresh or pickled.
Great to grow both in greenhouses and outdoors. Incredibly productive. 55-60 days from transplant.
