Hot pepper Batem Alpçelik (also known as Biberiye, capsicum annuum) is a traditional pickling pepper variety hailing from Türkiye. Shrubs reach up to 40 cm. Fruit shape is conical. Yellow fruits develop upright on branches, and although they have a healthy amount of heat (similar to cayenne), flavor gets milder once pickled. In Turkish cuisine it's popular to pickle with parsley or fresh mint. Fruity fresh flavor. A very productive, mid-season pepper, from transplanting 50 days. May be grown in pots.
