Anthony Bourdain (1956–2018) was an American celebrity chef, author, and television personality who explored the cuisines, cultures, joys, and essentials of human existence around the world. He was an icon for many who love food and cooking as a pleasurable pastime that brings people together to celebrate our humanity. This particular variety, Anthony's Passionate Heart, was dedicated to this personality, his transparent life stage.
This tomato has a great flavor and a beautiful heart shape. It was created by respected tomato breeder Jeff Dawson by crossing the Sungold and Amish Paste varieties. After seven years of successful stabilization of this variety, it annually produces half a kilogram of tomatoes per bunch - a harvest, with a bright, fruity-sweet flavor and just enough acidity to ensure a perfect balance of flavor in the fruit. A rare variety. It grew on two stems, it is indeterminate - of unlimited height, we allowed it to grow until frost, without removing the tops of the stems. The bunches did not decrease in size, but regular "feeding" of the bush is necessary.
