Pineapple Bleue Lignee is a rare new and one of the best antocyanins variety developed in 2012 by
José Antoine aka d’Ambiorix, a breeder of Belgian origin.
This variety differs from the blue pineapple because of distinctive blue stripes, that are regularly
arranged from the stalk to the very top.
The flesh is orange-yellow, reddish with deep red veins.
The skin has a combination of deep orange, yellow and red color with blue lines, the shoulders are
decorated with a more or less intense (depending on sun exposure) indigo (anthocyanin) color. It is
high productivity and correct arrangement of fruit clusters. Indeterminant (tall).
