The 1884 Strawberry variety was discovered in 1994 on the 1884 site in Oklahoma, the USA. It was thought to be a heritage variety, but no evidence was found. It is a completely stable variety, which in 1997 was offered to register. The fruits are large, dark pink in color, heart-shaped, flesh is meaty, low in juice, with a traditional tomato flavor. The plant is indeterminate, genetically fertile, has a regular foliage.
