Professor Klapprott received the seeds of this variety from a friend who lived in the former East Germany. After receiving the seeds, he tried to grow this variety in his climate. This variety was first introduced by Curtis D. Choplin of South Carolina in Seed Savers 1992. Quite a rare variety.
The variety is indeterminate, of unlimited growth. Regular foliage. Produces 3-4 fruits in bunches. Fruits are flat, purple and chocolate brown in color with bright green shoulders. Fruits in clusters of uniform shapes.
The taste of this variety is simply amazing, although in our climate it grew in cold conditions in a film greenhouse. Despite that, it got a lot of sun.
Genetically productive variety.
